Staff Discounts
- 25% discount to all staff of the University of Melbourne and affiliated institutes on spectacle frames and spectacle lenses from our preferred suppliers.
- 25% discount to all staff of the University of Melbourne and affiliated institutes on all newly supplied and replacement contact lenses from our preferred suppliers.
- 25% discount to direct family members of all staff of the University of Melbourne and affiliated institutes on contact lenses, spectacle lenses and frames from our preferred suppliers. Direct family members are a spouse/partner, children, siblings and parents.
- 10% discount to all staff of the University of Melbourne and affiliated institutes (and their direct family members) on contact lenses ordered from companies that are NOT a preferred supplier.
- 10% discount to all staff of the University of Melbourne and affiliated institutes (and their direct family members) on spectacle frames requested by the patient that need to be ordered from a non-preferred frame supplier of University of Melbourne EyeCare practice.
Salary Packaging
University staff and families can now increase the amount they can save on their spectacles and/or contact lenses from the University of Melbourne EyeCare practice, with salary packaging for these purchases now available as an in-house benefit. This is in addition to the staff discount. Claims are made on the University in-House Benefits form HR 32IH.
Student Discounts
- 30% discount to all tertiary level students (on presentation of a current student card from any tertiary institution) on spectacle frames and lenses from our preferred suppliers.
- 30% discount to all tertiary level students on all newly supplied and replacement contact lenses from our preferred suppliers.
- 25% discount to direct family members of students of the University of Melbourne on contact lenses, spectacle lenses and frames from our preferred suppliers. Direct family members are a spouse/partner, children, siblings and parents.
